'Post-Human' World Building - Part 1

The World of Post-Human After the near-extinction of the human race, with a massive number of the animal kingdom evolving in intelligence and size to that of humans, the once familiar lands of the Old World have changed. For the better or the worst? Depends on who you ask. But the planet has vastly changed over the last thousand years. Various tribes, settlements, races and even religions have formed. Most welcoming many different animals into one colony or community, others preferring to be with their own kind. Ignoring the mixed colonies and cities for a moment, here are the three major races that are known across the Northern Kingdoms (what used to be Canada and the northern United States). The Owls. A militaristic faction that often sends out a large number of patrol units across the lands to ensure stability and peace amongst the colonies and major cities. Though they mean well, both Beast and Bat races often view them as harsh, judgemental and overly cautious; choosing to give

New Silverwing AU Idea: Post-Human/Apocalyptic AU

This is an idea that has been sitting in my mind for awhile and it is inspired by films such as Greenland, for a meteor disaster that wipes out all of mankind, and videogames likes Horizon: Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West, for the post-human world and the inhabitants who’ve begun a new age of existence within it. And, also, who deem the past humans as mere legends. The Story of the AU The main story of this world takes place hundreds of years (perhaps just below a thousand) into Earth’s future after a cataclysmic event had wiped out the human race. Just like how the dinosaurs millions of years ago, it was a deadly meteor storm that was the cause of it. Ending with more than one larger meteor that ensured humanity never stood a chance in the ensuing fallout. Despite this, once the destruction had dissipated, the world was allowed a chance to heal once more. And the surviving animal kingdom began to thrive and prosper across the planet, making both the wilderness and the now

Zak: Oh, I could probably help you out with that! *Goth begins to blush, imagining Zak giving him a full-on lip kiss, tongue and all; to "taste" him.* *Zak, however, is imagining actually BITING Goth on the arm to "taste" him.*

Been listening to Imagine Dragons a lot lately, and a random thought came to mind I wanted to share: If my "Journey of a Lifetime" fanfic, specifically, had a soundtrack? It would definitely have Imagine Dragon songs. >3> Example, for "Part 1" of my fic, I like the thought of "I Bet My Life" being one song that present itself during moments when Zak, Shade, Marina and Orestes (and very soon, Throbb) are travelling during a rare moment of calm after everything they've gone through. As well as Zak coming more and more accustomed to this new life of his, and the friendships he's built along the way. And then "No Time for Toxic People" would come up perfectly during the sequel when Zak, minus his friends as they've gotten separated after landing in South America, spends some time with the Vampyrums and sees how welcoming and friendly they are compared to Goth. Just a colony enjoying life in a rich and healthy land, Zak getting to learn more about their customs, while Goth just sulks that
